Every fall, GSA holds the John E Oubre Jr Memorial Soccer Tournament in honor of John E Oubre Jr. John was a member of the Granbury Soccer family and played for GHS from 1996-1997. He played forward and his jersey number was 9. John was born on January 2, 1980 and lost his life in a car accident traveling to soccer practice on December 9, 1997. John was a friendly, funny, well-liked guy. He was survived by his parents John and Sally, and sister, Jordan Oubre-Wilson. 

The 2024 tournament  will take place from November 22nd -November 24th, this will be the 24th annual memorial tournament! Games for this years tournament will take place at Granbury City Park, GMS Baseball and football fields, GHS Fields and Decker Field. Please see below for a field map.
